Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actress from America. Since the mid 80s she has been working in television and film. The actress has won numerous awards including 16 NAACP Image Awards. Bassett was raised by her aunt in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Her birthplace was and grew up at home in New York New York. Bassett moved with her older sister St. Petersburg Florida at the age of five to be near their mother and father, who had separated from their father. Bassett watched the James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play as she was still in high school, and realised that it was acting she wanted to do. Yale University New Haven Connecticut gave her a bachelor's degree (1980) which was in African American study, and an advanced degree (1983), from the Yale School of Drama. She was introduced to Courtney B. Vance, an actress who was also at Yale and they married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. the Yale School of Drama conferred an M.A. in Fine Arts in African American Studies to Angela Basssett in the year. She was a student at the following schools: Jordan Park elementary school, Disston Middle School for 7th graders, Azalea Middle School for 8th & 9th grades in addition to Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett, who plays Ramonda the female protagonist in the adventure action film I. Black Panther: Wakanda forever (2022).
